  1. Hitler had some valid concerns. And like a bunch of Germany's other Wonder Weapons, it's a departure from conventional tactics. It's just like jet airplanes and missiles. It's an unknown and untested quantity.

  2. He has a valid concern. You have a already overtaxed Logistics chain being burdened with a non-standard caliber. You are also revamping infantry tactics of the last 50 years at the same time.

  7. The short answer? The fg-42 was designed for the paratroopers. And they were under the Luftwaffe. So it's not an army project.

  15.  @larsdejong7396  generally a museum has a theme. A random German rifle and a random machine gun seem a bit out of place for museum located in a former prison facility. The exhibit should be at least marginally related.
