weird how its always the mostly historical colonial and imperial powers that always vote against human rights... (other than spain and portugal)

@jaypeedesuyo662 the iberian countries were very oppressive.. especially the spanish at the beginning... the difference was the spanish did a huge amount of genocide early.. and then only small amounts of oppression for the next centuries... whereas in north america they did small amounts of oppression that gradually ramped up to all out genocide until almost no one was left... the spanish wiped out 100% indigenous people in cuba and other caribbean islands.. and large amounts in peru and mexico initially.. but in general in latin america far more indigenous people survived... compared to north america..the only places that have fewer indigenous people are the ones where italians welsh english german people turned up... ie chile and argentina

if they did a vote based on what the civilians of each country wants, the people who dont like human rights would find themselves even more isolated.. the only reason so many nations vote for such hideous things is cos america has often couped nations and put in dictators that do whatever they say, or the americans are funding that nation with "aid" and threatening to cut it off if they dont vote one way

@jaypeedesuyo662 also.. a lot of the genocide by the spanish it wasnt actually spanish policy to murder the local population.. pizarro and his men and cortes and his men etc often lied, they wanted fame and fortune... they would over exagerrate their battles to spain, and make out they were great heroes instead of horrendous slaughterers of civilians etc.. and spain would fund them cos they wanted all the gold and silver they were bringing back... its kinda like whats happening now in israel... as long as benjamin cortes is bringing back the golden oil, king charles biden will happily supply benjamin cortes with horses and cannon.. so long as benjamin cortes keeps telling the king how the natives are barbarians and they do human sacrifices etc

@jaypeedesuyo662 they are under exaggerations... read up on the history... they completely wiped out all natives in cuba and other caribbean islands... not by killing directly, but by enslaving them forcing them to work fields over worked under paid.. some were tortured some killed because they refused to convert to christianity etc.. the first 50-100 years of spanish conquest in the americas was actually far worse than what the americans did
