Totalitarianism, here we come.

This time around, Turkey doesn't want to stage any protests because that would ruin their tourism business. Iraq has nothing to lose in that respect.
35
I don't think you get your seventy-two virgins by watching on the sidelines and then dying of famine when the nuclear winter sets in.
23
If Neo-Nazism and Russian patriotism are one and the same, sure.
19
Ahem, these people are clearly not buying Putin's war propaganda.
19
Unlike Taiwan, they're not jumping for China to get involved.
14
Is Putin listening to himself? Putin's little military adventure in Ukraine has led to unacceptable civilian victims.
12
The .303 bullet from that Lee-Enfield will pierce practically any type of body armour. The same goes for helmets.
11
"From now on, we'll threaten with nuclear war twice a day, because once isn't cutting it."
10
Simply put, the countries on Russia's doorstep want to join NATO because they don't want to be forcibly joined to Russia.

@pyotrbagration2438 That's the assessment of both UK and US military intelligence. Feel free to introduce other credible sources.
7
The foot-in-mouth syndrome is strong with Musk.
7
@gmanno Not only that, Frida Kahlo would be so jealous of his unibrow.
7
@generalstack6540 No, the Taiwanese are not. Educate yourself about TMSC, for instance.
7
I'm no Muslim and I have sympathy for Palestine. Just none whatsoever for Hamas.
7
@muhammadahmed8022 I can't make head nor tail of your comment.
7
The PM drives his own car to pay the king an official visit. That's down-to-earth Netherlands for you.
7
Could it be your own gender fluidity is making you make such a claim? Sexual orientation and gender fluidity are two altogether different things.
7
It's like Russia is reverting back to 19th-century Tsarist times, when conscription lasted decades, even a whopping 25 years.
6
That's an exercise in futility. The US will vote against it once more and, if it were to pass, veto it.
6
I can't help but notice that you kept mum about Erdogan's economic record. His empire is a giant with feet of clay.
6
This is a demonstration of coup fanboy and fangirl power.
6
Long Covid.
6
@piotaape6171 I asked the medically-challenged Putin fanboy/fangirl a question. Butt out.
5
What's your diagnosis?
5
It is a Mickey Mouse band-aid on a gaping wound that's gushing arterial blood.
5
@The_Ballo Yeah, the Russians should take better care of their fallen.
5
@pyotrbagration2438 400,000 casualties on the Russian side. That says enough.
5
A coronation is a very good excuse for pomp and circumstance. The public needs occasional infusions of national pride. And soldiers must parade now and then to strengthen their esprit de corps. The French, who sent their royals to the guillotine, still parade like no other on Bastille Day, don't they? In their case, who would you like to blame for the expense?
5
But Allah is supposed to be the same Abrahamic deity that Jews and Christians pray to. If you can't agree on how to share, I think Judaism, the oldest religion of the three, has dibs on him.
5
@CheatertrollOne-te4xo Guterres was pretty clear on what he thinks of Hamas. Israel got mad because of its sense of entitlement.
5
@blankscreen3702 The US is in a very clear minority there.
5
I thought you didn't like autocracy and curtailed freedoms. You learn something new every day.
5
Autocratic birds of a feather flock together.
5
Rest assured, there were a lot of protests when Serbia was bombing.
5
Who else thought of her getting the MBS treatment, like Jamal Khashoggi?
5
She's incompetent because she pointed out Trump's mental incompetence?
5
@clickbait9744 So, you'd rather tolerate your own to die in terrorist attacks and battle for all perpetuity?
5
@thewedge8823 Are you denying that Zhirinovsky was a veritable Neo-Nazi? Don't upvote your own posts. It's sleazy.
5
Aren't you easily misled.
5
If there are 20 Russian generals in Ukraine, a fourth has died already. To say they've been decimated would be a gross understatement.
5
@saarbrooklynrider2277 Who says they're asylum-seekers? For all we know they're dual nationals, students, foreign residence pass holders, etc. Besides, I expect Russia's brain drain is at full tilt now. If Russia wants to rid itself of the young and the gifted, they're welcome to it. It's their loss and our gain.
5
This war has turned into a war of attrition ever since Bakhmut. The point is to inflict maximum losses on the enemy while incurring the least yourself. Ukraine has mastered the concept. Russia has mastered the reverse.
4
@rosaelinav8036 No need to differentiate between Biden and the United States, or Trump for that matter. It's all the same to us.
4
Had you posted this a few days earlier, you would've competed for the Conspiracy Theory of 2023 prize.
4
You made sense till you brought up Trump.
4
@ruotuz You're not on to anything new. The Syrian Civil War was already well on its way before the Americans started arming the opposition. One of reasons behind the civil war was the lack of democracy. Nothing seems to have changed in that respect.
4
@ruotuz Don't drag the US into this -- you're automatons that way. If you want to deplore atrocities in Syria, try blaming Assad's regime, Russia or Turkey.
4
@pohatuthereactor1693 Gaining formal independence and being ruled by Beijing's communist autocrats are two different things. The latter isn't working out so well for Hong Kong, is it?
4
Taiwan be damned, eh?
