  1. Actually, the more prominent EU members, with the exception of the UK, weren't exactly enthusing over the Iraq War. You must be too young to remember the Freedom Fries Episode.

  2. For what it's worth, the UK and to a lesser extent, the US, still pack more credibility that Russia. Russia has taken plausible deniability to the extreme, rendering it more implausible than plausible. The evidence in these matters in circumstantial at best, and I'm sure that over time even more will come to light, just like we saw in the Litvinenko case, where a polonium trail literally led back to Russia. If you're so adamant that these matters are dealt with in court, why not have Russia extradite the suspects in the Litvinenko poisoning?
