@kevt3318 I see you're still utterly confused. The GFA says there's to be no border between NI and ROI. Given that the UK is no longer in the EU's customs union, there has to be a border, and the only realistic place to put it was in the Irish Sea. WTO tariffs, which would apply to all trade between NI and GB, would really put the hurt on NI. Savvy? Or is it all just too taxing for you?

@kevt3318 I thought I clearly wrote that the border is in the Irish Sea at present, but I see now that even ordinary phrases overstretch your very limited powers of comprehension. If the UK had left without a deal, you would have (not "would of") broken the GFA, because there would have (again, not "would of") been a border all right, and in the middle of the island of Ireland. The WTO is very clear on borders and border checks.

@kevt3318 You have a lousy memory with regard to your own insults. I only respond in kind; I never instigate. I wrote that because of the GFA, the only realistic place for the border was in the Irish Sea. If you don't know it, "was" is the past tense of "to be", meaning that the deed is done; the sea border is in place already. Reading comprehension and spelling clearly are your weak points. Northern Ireland is geographically part of Ireland, as is the Republic of Ireland. But not to worry, Irish reunification will put an end to your confusion soon enough. It's one of the unexpected bonuses of Brexit. It's fortunate that the EU wasn't involved in brokering the GFA, because otherwise you'd hold us responsible for yet another one of your messes. The Americans, who were involved, have been congratulating themselves for doing the most successful Brexit in history, in 1776, but I think they spoke too soon. What is relevant is that the GFA is incompatible with Brexit, assuming the latter involved the UK leaving the customs union. So, you've thrown your Northern Irish loyalists under the Brexit bus. What else is new?

@kevt3318 OK, you grew timid and deleted your latest reply. No worries, I can still see it in my notifications. You were puzzled about 1776. That's the year the Americans declared their independence from Great Britain. It has become an internet meme that this particular Brexit is the more successful of the two. Still, it seems the Americans aren't yet free from British problems. They suckered right into Northern Ireland, just like you suckered into Brexit.

I've cleared up your mistaken belief that WTO rules do away with borders. You were confused about the Brexit of 1776, the vastly more successful one of the two. I take it that's also cleared up now. I also corrected your poor grammar: "would have" cannot be spelled "would of". Let me dot the i's and cross the t's by noting that "your" is not accepted alternative spelling for "you're". My work here is done.
