Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "War in Ukraine: Missile strikes on Lviv kill at least 4 | DW News" video.
Cruise missiles, regardless or origin, are by nature hard to shoot down. They fly low, so they're hard to pick up from a distance with even the best of radar systems. The defender needs to have short- to medium-range anti-air systems along the flight path of the cruise missiles, and get a clear shot. Cruise missiles tend to hug the terrain, or even duck behind buildings, so it's not always a given. I guess Ukraine didn't have enough of such anti-air systems around Lviv.

Ukraine has too few Patriot systems to provide full coverage against cruise missiles, which are notoriously difficult to shoot down anyway. For reference, the Turks have been disappointed with the S-400, the Patriot's Russian counterpart, because S-400's poor performance in countering low-and-slow targets -- cruise missiles, for instance. It looks like Russia massively oversold the system, or Turkey somehow thought the laws of physics didn't apply.

You don't have what it takes to become an engineer of any sort. I hope your guidance councillor has told you so.

@VINLAND_777 You're trying to engage a mindless bot in a rational conversation -- an exercise in futility if there ever was one. Soreeyez has yet to produce a single rational comment. Silly one-liners are the best he can do.

Where to begin...

Maybe Pakistan should have a go at India with them big ones. You'd get an idea what it means to be on the receiving end.

@callsigndd9ls897 You're preaching to the... I don't know who're preaching to. Of course everyone should get along.

@musiconabudget3712 Don't flatter yourselves. Russia has isolated itself, and in doing so, it has dealt a serious blow to the likes of BRICS, who're being dragged down together with Russia. If anything, this illegal war is a step backwards -- both morally and economically -- and not a step forwards in challenging the West. Also, the West has closed ranks, both in sanctioning Russia and providing economic and military aid to Ukraine. Furthermore, the West is up-arming while Russia's military grows weaker by the day. Even China has started to grow concerned about Russia's internal stability. All in all, Russia is proving an ever-weakening partner to China. China can console itself that while it's losing a partner, it's gaining a colony.

@johnmark-ps8jy When and how did the West administer medicine to Russia, so Russia could give the West a taste back? Also, is Ukraine already part of the West in your book? Freudian slip? Think carefully about how you're going to respond. Your troll farm managers may send you to Ukraine to fight if you bollocks it up.

You're very confused.

@callsigndd9ls897 Yeah, you missed the point entirely. I was curious how the OP would feel if he was on the receiving end. Considering India's and Pakistan's chronic animosity, it's not inconceivable that they'll drop big ones on one another.

@nadimabdelaal6494 When the time is right, all of them. That's how it works. Try to keep up with the news.

@sidahagarwal742 The war in Ukraine was long since become a losing proposition for Russia, and not just militarily, but above all, economically. Russia is slowly but surely heading for bankruptcy. The only reason why Russia still keeps fighting is that Putin's career is at stake. Sheer desperation keeps him at it.

@Gerrard_Pike2008 You're asking the wrong person.

Do you think they'd let Priggie in on the launch codes? Lukashenko can't help him in that respect either, since he hasn't been told either.
