  1.  @olexkutikov9839  There was no need for a referendum. East Germany had just had its first truly democratic election, which has clearly won by pro-unification parties. Their newly-elected Volkskammer promptly voted to join the Federal Republic of Germany. The latter's Bundestag approved the application overwhelmingly. In both cases, there was a very clear supermajority, so no one -- until you, that is -- has questioned the popular support for German reunification on either side. But maybe you're forgiven for not understanding the workings of a representative democracy. I hear that the Russian State Duma is a rubber-stamp affair.

  3. What exactly was NATO's role in *Iraq? I distinctly remember US secretary of defense Rumsfeld blowing a gasket when NATO members France, Germany and Canada opposed the Iraq War. Therefore, it wasn't a NATO op. The military interventions in *Libya and Yugoslavia were approved by the UN Security Council. Too bad you didn't add Afghanistan to your list, because that one, too, was approved by the UN Security Council.

  6. Nope, the USSR, and later, Russia fully agreed with it. The USSR signed the Final Settlement on German reunification in 1990. Russia, as the USSR's successor state, is bound by it.

  7.  @olexkutikov9839  Perhaps you don't, but everyone else sees a clear difference. The Crimean status referendum was deemed invalid by world + dog. With German unification, no such issues arose.
