Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "After Covid: Will Brexit be the next shock for Britain's economy? | DW News" video.
You can't deny DW News their Schadenfreude after patiently enduring all that bluster from the Brits.

@richardwills-woodward You'll have to be more specific which particular Europeans you expect gratitude from. I can think of several European nations that have grounds for feeling resentful instead. As for myself, it's ambivalence.

You don't even know what liberalism means in a European context. *Choking.

You're not the sharpest tool in the shed. For every 10 blocked EU trucks in Dover, there will be 8 British ones in the same predicament on the continent. You think that's conducive to British exports? Moreover, the 10 stalled EU trucks carry goods from all 27 EU member states, whereas the British 8 are filled with British exports only. In other words, the pain is shared among all 27 EU members, whereas the UK has to bear the pain alone. No prize for guessing which particular economy is dangerously exposed and which ones are merely inconvenienced. Secondly, you clearly haven't understood how EU governance works. Since you call it a dictatorship, I'm inclined to believe you lack the intellectual capacity to understand, even if I were to explain it like to a child.

Next time there's a referendum, skip Glastonbury.

@kukulroukul4698 The EU member states suffer a 8% glancing blow, while the UK takes a 43% wallop right in the kisser. Indeed, who wins?

@kukulroukul4698 Norway? That's an odd thing to say. Norway's in the EU's single market, which means that it's in the EU camp when it comes to Brexit fall-out. Perhaps you struggle with analogies. A no-deal Brexit is like a boxing match -- or since there are precious few rules, a UFC bout. Both contestants will suffer blows, but the one left standing is declared the winner.

@kukulroukul4698 How so? Would you affiliate with your enemies? Try to start making sense.

@Jeffcrocodile So long, and thanks for all the fish. Where have we heard that before?

Not quite -- you'll be getting Ye Olde England, a Dickensian open-air museum. The rest of the Brits will have none of it.
