  2.  @chrisfetty9761  If we were talking about a well-regulated militia, you might have a point, but sadly, that's not the case. Those with guns would just as soon shoot each other than take up arms against a would-be dictator. Even if they somehow could form a cohesive force, they wouldn't stand a chance against a professional army.
