@amadeuz8161 It's worthwhile noting that while these countries have been generous, they're being reimbursed by the EU for the weapons they're sending to Ukraine. Especially Estonia is using this EPF scheme to upgrade its military. As a frontline NATO member, Estonia's new weapons won't go amiss, but it is gaming the system.

The angry bear appeared to be a teddy bear with an eye missing and its stuffing coming out. The wealthy dragon is wealthy -- although lately less so -- because of NATO and EU countries buying its stuff. So the dragon is not "coming" for us, because unlike the teddy bear, it doesn't want to ruin its business perspectives.

@xwing8029 And what irritates China no end is that any trade sanctions against Lithuania would compel the EU to retaliate in kind. It would be the trade equivalent of NATO's Article 5 at work. What's this world coming to, bullies are deprived of their right to bully?

It is a concern -- but mostly for the Russians -- if China turns Russia into a neo-colony. I'm convinced that's China's endgame.

It's in China's interest to broker an uneasy peace -- more like a truce actually -- that keeps Russia internationally isolated and economically dependent on China. Russia is a far juicer prize to China than Ukraine. And China knows Ukraine will soon be both in NATO and the EU, but Russia comes with no strings attached.
