Russia wouldn't make excuses this feeble if Putin was fully in control. Next, you'll claim that Putin had full control over Prigozhin, when the latter humiliated Putin with his march on Moscow.

@nickiseb8910 I hate to break it to you, but you're the one in need of education. Dagestan is part of Europe. The continent stretches all the way to the Caspian Sea, after all. Not only that, Russia is the biggest country in Europe and the Russian Europeans are the single biggest nationality in Europe, too. Chechnya*, Europe as well. Geography is a biatch.

@nickiseb8910 Wikipedia is your friend. I'm afraid your feelings are inconsequential. Truth be told, there should be just a continent called Eurasia, but then we'd talk about West Eurasia and East Eurasia to make a distinction between the two. Better stick with Europe and Asia.

@nickiseb8910 Don't get smart with me. Eurasia is not one continent, but two, Europe and Asia. You'll find that the ancient Greeks had a sketchy understanding of geography. They named them, but did not define their boundaries.
