How good of you to be concerned about Ukrainian loss of life in the war, but you need realise that a) Putin chose war, without provocation, b) Putin can unchoose war, like overnight, by withdrawing, c) Russians are getting killed in equal measure, at the very least. Cause and consequence seem to elude you.

  7. I'd rate the chances of Russia breaking down into its constituent parts much higher. If the war goes on, it's only a matter of time before the separatists seize their chance. Kadyrov, who's switched sides once already, will probably fire the starting shot. Ukraine, on the other hand, is now a nation forged in fire. Unbreakable.
