@eveleung8855 It all depends on popular opinion towards NATO. In the case of Finland, 79% and were in favour of membership. That being the case, it's perfectly acceptable to let the parliamentary process take over, which resulted in a 96% majority in favour of NATO membership. @eveleung8855 By independent opinion pollsters, of course. Do you honestly think NATO is one? It was the electorate and their duly elected representatives, the MPs, who both decided overwhelmingly in favour of NATO membership. Did you think Finland's party-girl PM has dictatorial powers? The truth is that she held back expressing her opinion on the matter, so much so that her party lost the top spot in the polls (no, still not "NATO polls") and hasn't regained it since. She's can party on, because a second prime ministerial term is not on the cards for her. I see you completely ignored my question about whether or not the CCP enjoys a popular mandate.
