@lterry3876 The reunification of Germany was about self-determination of the German people. When democracy was finally reintroduced in East Germany, the electorate immediately voted in favour of reunification and in overwhelming fashion, too. By rights, the USSR didn't have a vote, and neither did the UK, France and the USA. You're still thinking in terms of spheres of influence, just like your ideological companions tovarish Molotov and Herr Ribbentrop. Get with the times, buddy.

@thomasau3204 Putin's recently dusted-off CTSO won't expand no matter what. It's like joining his pathetic Eurasian Union, which sparked Euromaidan in Ukraine. No country in its right mind will board a sinking ship. You're trying to make a virtue out of a necessity.

@lterry3876 Aren't you a gullible fool. I'm not German. Without a doubt, Germany could get US forces to quit Germany. There are precedents. In 1991, the Philippines asked for the Americans bases there to be closed within a year. The Americans left ahead of schedule.
