  2.  @GavinGas  No fake news. We went over to train the Estonian 'Kodukaitse' in the early nineties. The Red Army was garrisoned nearby, as the buggers wouldn't pull out.

  4.  @starcraftleonov6487  Interestingly, the 50+ years old grandpas (and grandmas) can speak Finnish. Estonia had a window on the West through Finnish TV broadcasts, which they could receive. It goes a long way to explain why Estonia hit the ground running when they threw off the Soviet yoke.
