  1. This reminds me of staying at a hotel in Bayswater, London. I had picked it because it had central heating. Only my room was ice cold. When the staff offered to bring up an electric heater, I complained bitterly. Finally, I got a suite with working central heating, but it ran so hot that I had keep a window wide open. I made a mental note never to visit Britain in the wintertime, if I could help it.
