  1. No, but as a signatory, it's the UK's duty to raise awareness that China is breaking the joint declaration. It follows that China can't be trusted to honour international agreements. It just got harder for China to negotiate international agreements, as the other side will seek additional guarantees that China will keep their side of the bargain.

  2.  @anoobiscooking1193  Sure they want to trade and will, too. But at the same time, they have to make sure they're not getting screwed over by China. Hence, things will move much slower. That is not to China's advantage. Actions have consequences.
