  1.  @original_poster  Not quite. But just return us to the pre-3-letter-agency form of government and we'll all be much better off. Everything done to protect us from robber barons has made them more powerful. They write the laws and regulations that supposedly protect us from them. Then we could focus on the military-industrial complex, which is the one thing that'll always be with us as long as we defend our nation from outside aggression.

  2. They had damn near a century of Enlightenment writing and millennia of history from which to draw. Democrats can't remember last week's talking points, let alone remember history. Everything they said and stood for had already been debated and figured out by the late 18th Century. Every minute since has been devoted to forgetting.
