  1. The Republicans are simply angry because McConnell got played. The Democrats put on some really good political theater, so the CHIP bill could pass. Then they brought up this huge, all encompassing bill that can now be rewritten during reconciliation. Hence, it only needs 50 votes to pass. Well done Schumer and Manchin, well done indeed.
