  1. Hmm, maybe because killing a fetus that can't suffer (until 18 weeks gestation) is not at all comparable to killing a conscious, full-grown human that can see itself as an entity existing over time in addition to a fully developed nervous system?

  2.  @ihateeverything9887  It's not murder. Read Peter Singer's Practical Ethics. Just because you have the potential to become something doesn't mean you have all the rights of that thing. Prince Charles has the potential to become King, but that doesn't make him the Commonwealth's reigning monarch (at the time of this writing).

  3. Hey, I don't mind people taking ivermectin. Their body, their choice. And it doesn't do any serious collective harm, so no skin off my back. But I'm not going to withhold my judgement that those people are perhaps not very bright.

  4. Now this is a rational take. Unfortunately, what little rationality humans are capable of is frequently defiled with religious dogma, so the best we can do is ignore, ridicule, and shun those who don't use their "faculties of reason," God-given or otherwise.

  5. I have an even better question: If the fetus can't feel pain (and it can't before about 18 weeks gestation), then where is the moral dilemma? Why does the interest of a few hundred thousand cells take precedence over that of several trillion in the form of a conscious human? Somebody please give me a rational explanation to that question.
