@babkeebabkus8177 Woah, this took a wrong turn really fast. What you said about humans being naturally polygamous is 100% correct, our closest evolutionary cousins (the chimpanzees and especially the bonobos) exhibit very promiscuous behavior, so of course we share some of that as well. That all changed when we invented organized religion, and religious leaders enforced monogamous behavior (at least for the lower classes, to this day no one knows how many relations King Solomon has had). The taboo against adultery still persists, and I think that has to change. If all parties consent to it, polyamorous relationships in the era of STD testing and contraceptives harms no one. But there isn't some "global conspiracy" to keep people apart from one another, it's all about mitigating the spread of a dangerous new virus so as to not overwhelm the healthcare system and give people time to get vaccinated. It's a novel strain of the flu, and that's why it's so concerning.
