  2. Nope. That would actually entail giving Americans more freedoms (e.g. legalizing drugs), rather than taking them away. Politicians generally seem reluctant to do that.

  3.  @fishonkayakadventure  This. Rather than only sentencing those who deserve prison time (burglars, robbers, murderers, and the like), a certain party likes to also lock up people for ingesting the wrong substances. No wonder our prisons are running out of room and releasing people early.
