True cowards wouldn't even speak up. It takes courage to speak in front of a crowd, no matter the topic. The fact that he was able to do it and defend himself is an accomplishment in and of itself.

@Mr. Me I'm not going into the actual arguments he presented, I'm just lauding the bravery it took to speak for oneself after making a comment like that and hearing that particular reaction from the crowd. I will divulge though that, yes, his reply didn't sound like the best defense he could have made for his remark.

@Mr. Me You make a good point. When a white person makes a comment like that and it goes public, it can have disastrous consequences on his or her career. On the other hand, if you hear a black person ranting about how horrible white people are, chances are nothing will happen to them. Racism works both ways, and those who believe otherwise are not embracing the concept of equality with sincerity. It almost appears at this point that the radical left is approaching social issues from a perspective of privelege and special treatment and have discarded the notion of equality altogether. It'll take time to heal the wounds of the past, but nudging our society in the other direction won't expedite the process. It'll just make it worse.

@LordAlmightyIAm Bullying is major issue in this country. For a long time, parents have seen bullying as a natural part of attending school and peer relationships, but in an age where a single post on social media can reach an entire community of thousands, it brings ridicule to a whole new level. It's also partially responsible for the rapidly increasing suicide rate amongst today's youth as well as the spike in school shootings. Race is a small factor in it, but it's far from being one of the main causes. Recent studies indicate that today's youth are actually more tolerant of people from different backgrounds than ever before (not to say it isn't still a problem obviously, as indicated here).
