  2. I don't normally make everything about race, but we know exactly what would have happened if the perpetrator was black (and poor). He almost certainly wouldn't have been able to walk free for at least 15 years. Welcome to "justice" in America.

  3. Rich white privilege, to be exact. Usually the only ones who come the closest to a "fair" sentence are poor white people and rich black folks. Rich whites often get away with a slap on the wrist, and poor blacks. . . Well, just look at what almost happened to Julius Jones.
