@kevinconboy7387 Yes, ivermectin has been proven to work . . . with parasites, not with COVID-19. That's a pretty important detail.

Hot take incoming: I honestly think doctors and nurses should be legally obligated to obey their patients' requests for ivermect/n prescriptions, as long as the patient has tested positive. If the drug doesn't work, oh well. The patient should still have the right to throw the kitchen sink at it. The only caveat is that all expenses related to the prescriptions must be paid for out-of-pocket. What I find outrageous about this whole situation (besides the fact that doctors ignore their patients' requests in life-or-death circumstances) is that people were led to believe in the first place that an unproven drug for "treating" COVID-19 is safer and more effective than the FDA-approved vaccine. That just boggles my mind. We need clinical trials that settle this question once and for all. Now.

Biden: "What are Republicans for?" I can answer that for you: - More tax cuts for the rich - Endless war - Rampant corruption - Voter suppression - Cuts to the already miniscule social safety net (by developed standards) - Wall Street deregulation and bailouts - No environmental protections - Hindering unionization efforts - Nonstop distractions about culture war garbage (Dr. Seuss/Potato Head, Sexy M&M's, Critical Race Theory, transgender bathrooms) - No substantive material improvements in the lives of ordinary Americans - Privatized everything - Defenestration of separation of church and state - Government overreach into your personal business (mass surveillance, regulating your sex life, your anatomy, your intake of certain substances, etc.) In other words: Everything that would objectively make the lives of ordinary working-class Americans worse. @Peter from NZ Well hold on now, ivermect/n has been proven to be safe in proper doses (which is why I say doctors should prescribe it). If the patient's case is so severe that it is likely to do more good than harm, I think doctors should be obligated to prescribe it upon request. This drug is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines for a reason -- and let's not forget, the guy who invented it won a Nobel Prize for his work. Not to mention, millions of people take it every day and have no problems. This isn't some highly dangerous and obscure drug we're talking about here.
