Fascism was invented by Mussolini, and adapted and expanded by Adolf Hitler. The racial divisions integrated into the National Socialist (aka Nazi) platform was not an aspect of the original Fascist ideology (and, in fact, Mussolini condemned Hitler's anti-Semit-sm, much to the latter's chagrin). It it most often placed in the right-wing and authoritarian camps because of its emphasis on traditional values (often leaning in a theocratic direction) socially, and economically is usually described as somewhat right-leaning because of its corporatist structure (where there is a monopoly in every industry with figureheads who report to the Supreme Leader). So the correct answer is somewhat mixed: socially it is as far to the authoritarian right as one can possibly imagine, but economically it's closer to the center.
