  2. The "U.S." doesn't have any oil of its own. The oil that's dredged up below U.S. soil is all in the hands of private corporations who then sell it to foreign countries to make higher profits. None of this is in the hands of U.S. citizens, or even the government. Oh yeah, and did I mention that these companies are also sitting on about 9,000 permits for oil drilling to artificially limit the supply and price gouge consumers? It looks like they took a lesson straight out of De Beers' playbook.
