  3.  Yashar'el in Captivity  I'm guessing you haven't heard that Einstein also disproved Newton's Law of Gravity. The atmosphere sticks to the Earth because the gravitational force is greater than that of the pressure gradient. Look it up.

  5.  Yashar'el in Captivity  Actually, there isn't a pressure difference at all between the Earth's atmosphere and space. Earth's atmospheric pressure gradually decreases as you increase in altitude, which is why it's harder to breathe when you're in high places (say for example, climbing Mount Everest or in an airplane). So the atmospheric pressure where the atmosphere meets space is 0. As for the atmosphere at the surface, it doesn't rise into space because the Earth's gravity is strong enough to hold it in. That's why a smaller planet like Mars has lost most of its atmosphere, and a smaller body like our Moon has no atmosphere at all.
