  1. I voted "No" on the recall, but I also voted for Kevin Paffrath (the guy trailing Elder in the polls) as Newsom's replacement if he is recalled. At this point, the best-case scenario would be to replace Newsom with another Democrat who actually cares about the issues California is facing (homelessness, wildfires, etc.), not just pretends to. I'm as left-leaning as it gets, but even I have deep misgivings about the guy currently occupying the Capitol building in Sacramento.
