Your health is not being jeopardized if you're fairly young and have a strong immune system. If you don't meet those criteria, then please by all means isolate yourself. If you do, and you happen to get sick, no one will force you to come to work anyway. In fact it would be better for everyone if you didn't, and you self-quarantined for at least a week after the symptoms disappear.
