Back when real photography was photography (no fake filters, cutsie graphics or compuuterized lighting, but real film, knowing how to use chemicals, checking speed and light exposure and dark rooms) people were willing and able to be creative, even if it seemed odd. I make a lot of young people angry when thy whip a device from their rear pocket and claim to be a photographer and I laugh. They have no clue.
