  18. According to the U.S. Constitution every state has a right to defend itself from invasion when the federal government fails to do so. That was a sticking point keeping some of the original 13 colonies from signing early drafts of the Constitution. My wife, a legally naturalized citizen from Europe compares states to individual nations of the EU. Not an exact comparison, but a interesting thought. That is why Oklahoma is with we Texans.
