I mean, if the robot can't stop it, neither can a human. These AI systems are quickly becoming better than human drivers in every way. Give it another decade, and half of all trucks will be driven by AI, if not all of them. They can see 360 degrees all around them, and respond to all environmental factors in fractions of a second - much faster than humans. Even if it costs 50,000$ to install an AI in your truck, after a year or two you'll make your money back on not having to pay a trucker's salary. Automation is coming for our jobs, all of our jobs. The immigrants can't even make a dent in the labor force compared to automation. We're going to need to completely alter our society soon, with healthcare and other forms of social welfare for all the people whose jobs will be replaced by machines. Which eventually will be everyone, except for the few ultra-rich CEOs.
