we need to set up a new system with more specialized groups. ones to deal with violent crime response, like we don't call the cops for a fire, we call the fire department. for petty crimes, we can set up a community based system. and for embezzlement and white collar crimes, we already have CIA, homeland security, and the FBI. the US's police force was set up to capture escapees in the south. the whole history of our police force is racist. we need to at least separate the police into different organizations with different responsibilities. the people giving speeding tickets shouldn't be the same people dealing with active shooters. because then they'll treat every situation like it's life or death, when usually it isn't. the people giving speeding tickets don't need guns. if a person runs away, you call in a different department responsible for dealing with that type of issue.

exactly, cops in england don't even carry guns. when US cops put on that military gear, they think they're playing call of duty and start firing at everyone without hesitation. police should only be used to investigate violent crimes. have another community based approach to petty crimes. and definitely stop giving them literal tanks. what is this, tiananmen square? why are our cops more violent to our peaceful protestors than the police in hong kong? it's all gotten out of control

John Crisp the person would have no reason to fire at the traffic cop, knowing they are unarmed, and not going to persue them on a long chase. usually these people running from the cops just have stupid weed charges or something, and don't wanna go back to jail cuse they have weed in the car
