The problem is not with NATO, it is with Russia. Why does every country in Europe that borders Russia, withe the exception of the Belarus dictatorship, either belongs to NATO or wants to join NATO? Because of Russia's thuggish behavior since 1945.

@fluffymadsquirrel5946 Of course Canada doesn't need that because they have good relations with the USA. Russia is not trusted by its neighbors. For good reason.

Every single nation in Europe that borders Russia is part of NATO and wants to be part of NATO, except the Belarus which is a dictatorship propped up by Putin. So why is this? Answer: because Russia and the Soviet Union have a long history of abusing their neighbors. This is not a hypothetical statement. It is reality.

@xmaverickhunterkx No. Russia directly lies. Putin denies that this is a war. That this is an invasion. He denied he was going to send his army into Ukraine. He says that Ukraine is not an independent country. He lies about his army committing war crimes. He lies about being corrupt. He lies that he jails his opponents. He lies about murdering his opponents.
