  1. the lens thing is so horrific - look at the receipt from the company that build the second one, it was like ~10K USD. Not more. The test procedures would not have been horrendously expensive, even considering a pressure chamber. 300 hours? do it when the university has summer break or something. the first manufacturer had a good recommendation - use a standard window, err, viewport while testing and certification is in progress. the whole thing boils down to that stockton didn't understand the guy was trying to show him a cheap path to get his idea done. all he heard is "i got extra material, we can do this" and thought someone is ripping him off. like "*bangs chest* I haz street smartz you can't trickz me" while the other guy was "you're such a dick but i'll really try help you and think for you so you can get your idea done even if you're too dumb" the idiot was messing around thinking someone with a long-existing corporation will scam a prospective customer when the person instead spent hours and hours of their own because they try to do their best for you shows what world Stockton must have grown up in, but also that he just couldn't get him to make engineering minded decisions. he made 'not buying stuff out of a white van' decisions. ah cool, you spotted even the receipt :>
