It's insane what OG did and how many flaws they combined. For the ntsb guy remember he tried to stay matter of fact. If you listen to his voice you can hear when he sounds more factual and dead and those are the points where he is trying to not shout in rage. Also watch the face of the coast guard investigator during Phils sanding quote. I felt so sorry for him in that moment, and envied his self control in how fast he recovered himself.

  4. The 45 degrees, idk if you were saying that and I just don't get it, should also have had move better and wider load distribution than the 2:1 setup they did. (Though, admittedly the load from the outside would be quite even)

  5. Bad production, no clean room, the autoclaving just increased the effect. It's also not yet verified if they really bought cheap leftover material. It should come up in either OG or Boeings records.

  6. 1) that's no "somewhat equal"... reality seems more that the glue came off between the bonded layers and the layers were bearing different loads altogether and overloaded each on their own.
