  1. PS - It’s hard to trust reporters this pretty. They were usually hired over much more qualified reporters/experts. Having lucked into a pretty wife, I see the unfair advantages they receive on a daily basis. But, hey, maybe this woman is a MacArthur Genius. As others have said, Mars is a pipe dream especially in terms of becoming a viable life raft for those on earth, which I know is a secret hope for “earthers.” Read The Expanse among others for a deeply imagined idea of what life and politics would be like on a colonized Mars. Update: The reporter went from "Brand Manager and model on Korean makeup" to "Manager of Brand Strategy at Vox."

  2. As a mistrust of her expertise. Not her integrity. Beautiful women tend to work in industries associated with panache and desirable social connections (in this case media). A natural progression from their naturally high social value. When I worked at a PR firm (the largest privately owned in the world), for example, the percentage of extremely attractive women was remarkable. When I worked at a large structural engineering firm (as in house marketing), there were zero attractive women. Duh, that is not a scientific observation, but ask yourself as you progress from applied sciences to even just entertainment adjacent industries, if you can honestly say it’s not self evident that my claim is true.
