@bkjeong4302 The reason the First US Army Group worked is that it confirmed German expectations of a landing near Calais, was supposed to be commanded by a "name" general (Patton), and distracted attention from the real threat. The US and UK really did have millions of men and thousands of tanks ready to invade, they didn't fake the construction of almost 50,000 M4 medium tanks and millions of trucks. Faking the existence of Tirpitz would only work against someone who chose to believe in it against all the evidence.
