@champagnegascogne9755 in what way? From what I can see, Shimikaze is different primarily in terms of using higher pressure machinery, leading to higher speed. For that purpose, every American destroyer of WW2 was analogous to Shimikaze by virtue of American use of high pressure machinery (600 psi steam plants, IIRC). If you mean the first such ship, the Gridley class took steam pressure from 400 psi to 565 psig. At first I wondered if you might mean the Akitzuki class destroyers which were dedicated AA destroyers using the 10 cm gun rather than the slower firing 12.7 cm gun.
