@vikkimcdonough6153 I have to question the premise of the question. The Germans seem to have topped out at 12.8 cm for AA guns, the Japanese at about the same size except to a couple examples of the 15 cm Type 5, and Italy at 12 cm with just a few examples produced. The US had a 90 mm gun, the British the 3.7" and 4.5" QF guns, with what appears to be a few dozen land-based 5.25" guns, while the Soviets seem to have topped out at the 85 mm gun. So where do we see a successful land-based heavy AA gun around 6" caliber? Even the later M51 Skysweeper and British Green Mace were only 75 mm and 4" caliber, respectively, focusing on high rate of fire rather than large shells.
