@Lee Haseley, I'm shocked that you're shocked. Australia since it's inception has been and will probably always be the most destabilizing factor in that entire region.

@leehaseley2164 Benjamin isn't really being abusive to others. He's simply embarrassing himself with his inability to articulate his point of view. No need to stop him from doing so either.

@Big Ghoulish Boi, some people tend to do it more than others. Since the day Australians set foot in that region everyone in that area as suffered terribly. The chickens will come home to roost one day, I'd imagine it will come with a lot of Chinese support.

@benjaminr8961 So my intelligence is being questioned by a person who hasn't mastered basic grammar? Hmmm, now I've seen it all.
7
@benjaminr8961 You really have no proper argument to make do you? lol So please, continue with the adhoc attacks. I honestly find them amusing.
6
@benjaminr8961 Repeating yourself doesn't really help your cause my man.
6
@benjaminr8961 Well that was the justification used to help slaughter hundreds and thousands of civilians in Timor. Interesting to see there are still people who back this policy. On a scale of 1-10 just how horrible of a human being are you?
5
@benjaminr8961 Most people with a lost cause would tend to agree with that statement.

This bullying a nation out of natural resources on their shores reminds me of what the EU is trying to do to Turkey right now.

@Hollywood2021 So if I came in your house, took all your money and massacred your family while causing a distraction to get away. The world will see that as "me outsmarting my competition." Interesting worldview you have.

@Vroomfondle1066 It's possible but if I'm from east Timor, the alternative couldn't be much worse.
2
@Lobos222 After what the Australians have put them through, I'd imagine if China did it's worse they probably wouldn't even feel it. I highly doubt China will push a policy that kills 1/3rd of their population.
2
@Hollywood2021 So you'd feel better if I said I bribed 15 thugs into doing it for me? Make the analogy fit better? Would you still say "I was outsmarted" after your family is slaughtered? I doubt it, you'd be crying bloody murder. Types like you are never intellectually honest unless something affects you directly.
2
@Andrew, It's youtube's Soviet Union type terms of service which force this.
1
@JoseJBronze Funny how some people still think critique of the Soviet Union equates to critique of modern Russia. You do realize it isn't 1985 right?
1
You feeling okay Jose? Why not try tackling the point instead of talking about RT which has absolutely nothing to do with my statement. Stop listening to those voices in your head my man.

Societies which brag about how open and free they are, are anything but. I am in the United States, where we always talk about how free we are. Yet we are the most surveilled society on the planet outside of China. Hell, the government is probably going to have a log of me making this post. Freedom in the west is done, dead and dusted.
1
@Inimicus, imagine what else your government has been up to which hasn't been put under a microscope yet.
1
@InimicusXII The major difference being most other western nations aren't situated in a geography where most of their neighbors are small and poor. Less chances to do these types of things. You do see it though far off their shores. Look how France is using Greece to do to Turkey what Australia did to Timor. Unlike Australia their policy doesn't seem to be working.

After being bullied this terribly by Australia, if I were the president of Timor the first thing I'd do would be to invite the Chinese to build a military base looking straight at Australia. Seems like they deserve it. Maybe they too can get a taste of what it feels like to be bullied by a wealthier more powerful nation out to steal their resources. Obviously they'll be screaming bloody murder when it's done to them.

@kaniel_outis1 Powerful yes, when compared to small impoverished islands in your periphery. When a heavyweight shows up? Not so much.
