  1.  @wlonsdale1  Did anyone say they were? My daily driver is 23.5 yo and everything still works well. I smile when I pass stealerships or other clip joints like those chain oil change shops or tire dealers that also do "service/repairs".

  2. Yup. Buy from private parties with full service records and only after a good PPI by your own trusted mechanic.
