I'm analyzing it properly. It's got an outmoded theme & the analogy doesn't work for the reasons I mentioned already. He's got some poorly-wigged, 9yo girl to act out his play. For what reason, no 1 knows. On top of that he's got that last part where he's standing on some CGI cliff. There's NO excuse for this shit. And yeah, I'll be safe when rafting & riding... er, I'll TRY to be safe. I enjoy a little danger. I guess that's what athletes do when we can't participate in our sports anymore.

WTF?

The last time I looked, the National Recovery Act saved the country. And a child her age probably can't understand the problems of a derivative-based (that means debt speculations that value of a dollar) economy. Also, trying to liken a huge organism, with more working parts than a singular being (the economy) with a lower member of chordata (a goldfish) is counterintuitive. Face facts: had the White not stimmed, this country would've fallen apart. No. I don't understand Cain's premise.

@asalamulekum So if you KNOW the economy is more complex than that, you know how silly this ad is. You can't call the economy a suffocating fish. You can't call stimulus a splash of water for a suffocating fish. In truth, the economy is more like the water than the fish that needs it. Furthermore, this ad isn't effective because of the girl with that ridiculous wig. I don't even need to go into the last shot of this ad. WTF is Cain doing? It's like he's in LaLaland.

@asalamulekum No. We CAN'T understand the ad. The metaphor failed. There's NO explanation for using a child actor with a bowl-cut wig as the spokesperson. Hermain Cain standing in front of a green screen is incomprehensible. But most of all, the "this is (insert noune). this is (insert different noun). this is (noun+noun). any question?" formula is not only outmoded, it doesn't work to examine an extremely complex economy. No. we didn't understand it & neither does Cain's ad director.

@HashRash87 That's an extremely crude analysis on your part. In fact, yours is even less refined than Cain's.
