That's called BUSINESS. Wifi ain't pampering. If so, you should rail against every coffee shop in America for making coffee drinkers an entitlement complex. Right? @cba1067950 The bed & breakfast + wifi isn't pampering. You have to understand that she has to pay, feed & house her band, her roadies, her handlers & each venue rental while she's on tour. For every $50 ticket, I imagine $8 goes to her. Some guys meditate. Some get wasted. Some read their favorite author. Some warm up with their mates. Some lipsync their entire routine. Some do voice regimens. Some drink tea & take a dump. To avoid pissing ourselves, we (old band) used to play RISK.

Greenroom lists aren't anything new. Who's even worried about this shit? I don't even want a taxi driver looking at me. I want him looking at where he's going. I don't give a shit about lamps or flowers. Greenrooms are part of how they get into their zone. If Usher needs to separate M&Ms, this ain't a big deal.

I try to reuse & recycle everything object I consume because I care about the planet but I also reflect on those who are less fortunate. And no, you don't get to use your personal metrics to evaluate other people. It doesn't work like that. I don't judge criminals not because I care about their crimes but because I'm too concerned with productive things.

What she does with her money & what demands she makes of the people she does business with is HER business. You're getting indignant about lamps, flowers & comped rooms? I said no 1, that ranges from a president to a transient person who can afford a cab, wants the cab driver looking at anything but the road. That's simple safety. I said that lamps & flowers mean nothing. I like roses, tulips, lilies & gladiola. I don't like carnations, magnolias or goldenrods. She's entitled to her preferences like everyone else is. (cont'd)

@cba1067950 I also cited the case of Usher, who separates M&Ms to handle his pre-performance jitters. Ultimately, performers aren't any different than any other people who have their quirks. I'm sure you have your most/least favorites. People are picking on Katy for asking for wifi? People are complaining about her request for certain accommodations when she, the marquee act, probably has to take care of ALL the people on tour with her? THIS isn't a big deal. Worry about something meaningful.

@cba1067950 Oh yeah, teachers often DO need things before they start class. I've had teachers that insisted on a certain amount of hours listening to certain music. I had teachers who had certain plants. I had teachers who had certain routines with the class pet. It's not really a new concept. As a math teacher, I need to run every morning for 45min & listen to McCoy Tyner & Freddie Hubbard before I can really get in a math groove. Why is any of this new to you?
