  1. Any employer who'd deny free birth control is a moron. You're gonna pay more for prenatal, post-natal & pediatric care. Why would you wanna pay more for the insurance of your employees & your employees' kids instead of just taking care of employees who have better control over how many kids they have. Furthermore, if you don't wanna have to pay for a temp AND PTO (in some cases as per the company's policies), go ahead & not pay $8/mo for a pack of Ortho-Novum. Good luck with that.

  3. I'm not sure but I think that might be the worst interpretation of a legal ruling that I've ever read. If the employer provides health care, the employer pays the premium for the employee to have birth control & the employee picks up the copay. It's simple. A woman is paying into the same insurance as a man. A woman's fertility is a pre-existing condition. You haven't a leg to stand on.

  4. The employer is trying to apply force by trying to control what drugs a woman takes. It becomes a slippery slope. I've worked for Mormons. Can they decide what to pay for after my doctor prescribes it? No. Can a scientologist-owned company decide that they don't want their employees taking benzodiazepines, MAOIs & SSRIs?
