@KNDoperative Hmm. You're at honors level English but you use poor grammar. You're in calculus but you had to fabricate a statistic. You're talking about physics but you presented an easily disproved hypothesis. Son, shut up while you're ahead.

@CannibalShinobi I think the comprehension deficit here is your lack of understanding of very important nuances. And no, the opinion of 1 person doesn't trump anything on youtube or anywhere else. Show me a survey of 50 students THEN I might start listening. Show me some students of hers who tested poorly as a direct result of her tutelage. Show me a suspended license or a poor mark in her own curriculum as she was being trained & educated. But don't show me the 2nd hand opinion of 1 kid.
1
@KNDoperative Here's another beauty of the internet, you can actually find images of people. She looks to be younger than 50. So your figure of 2000 students looks even LESS credible. You can shut up now.
1
@CannibalShinobi I know precisely what I said because I'm a pretty precise writer. And yes, that generation is of lesser quality. Don't get mad at the truth.
1
@KNDoperative That would mean 2000 students have had direct contact with her. That's not realistic. In fact, I just looked at the enrollment of all the high schools in the Central Bucks district. TOTAL enrollment averages about 1500 with South being the highest at 1800. You're assuming that every student took her class & that just doesn't make sense. I'll assume you're lying & just let you off the hook.
1
@kazalack Doctors don't complain? Lawyers don't complain? Chefs don't complain? You're not making sense.
1
@CannibalShinobi No. That kid's opinion is ONLY valid to that kid. If you can't understand that extremely simple principle I can't talk to you.
1
@KNDoperative Son, you misspelled her name too. That only augments my assertion that you're a liar. You don't know that woman nor do you know any of her students. I may be cruel but at least I'm honest. Why isn't the system working? Because parents raise their kids poorly. You have no character.
1
@CannibalShinobi Nice. You've made a b-line to ad hominems after debating against the ad hominems made by the teacher. You're a fucking buffoon.
1
@CannibalShinobi This is the internet so whether or not he/she actually knows that teacher is up in the air. Aside from that, we can't call ourselves intelligent and accept the conjecture of a SECONDARY source. As a teacher/coach, I can testify to the lack of motivation of today's students. That said, you must take MY opinion with a grain of salt too. Do you understand that nuance or would you rather just argue?
1
@KNDoperative Son, you've already forfeited any credibility I may have given you. That's not a function of any low blow I can deliver. That's a function of the things YOU SAID. Spare me the bullshit about integrity after you make up numbers then say that specific information isn't important. Go play games or do whatever you kids do.
1
@CannibalShinobi Dude, because you can't follow my logic doesn't make it poor. It means you're not comprehending. That's why I asked if you understood the nuances. If you want me to clarify them just ask.
1
@KNDoperative Simply put son, you've no integrity. You're a young person with a mob mentality that says, "let's all jump on the teacher even if none of us has actual beef with the lady". Grow up. It takes time. But you've already lost much ground. For starters just say you've heard the story & Mrs. Munroe's actions were inappropriate. Leave it at that. At least that way you won't get exposed by people who are savvy enough to call bullshit.
1
@KNDoperative My young friend, you've already forfeited this 1. Let it go.
1
@CannibalShinobi You made 2 very poor arguments. For 1, you argued by using the fallacy of appeal to authority. ie, that person claims to personally know someone ELSE who has personal knowledge of the principle player here, therefore that person's opinion trumps all. Your second error is that, assuming he/she is telling the truth, he/she is correct in that assessment. The problem there is that ONE opinion doesn't constitute "fact" in the broader context. Do you understand what I mean?
1
@KNDoperative Dude you don't know that teacher. You probably go to another school in that township. I bet you don't know many kids from her school if you know any at all. See this is the lack of critical thinking that problematic of your generation. You can't even be honest about what you don't know. You'll never learn anything because you already know every-goddamned-thing. I'm over 30 but I'm far from an old man. How I spend my Sunday nights is my own business. In any case, stop lying.
1
@CannibalShinobi And I didn't say it was all on the students or the teachers. In fact, it comes down to poor parenting. But all that aside, I'm saying that your logic is poor. I'm also saying that the quality of today's students, at least the quality of high school students whom I've encountered, aren't the same quality of my generation. I can tell you're making an attempt to insult my skill as a teacher but that's fine. You're just making another fallacy; an ad hominem.
1
@MrWhocares54321 THANK YOU. Logicians like you & me challenge people's reasoning therefore we MUST be defending the teacher's actions. Don't you love when people see things as black & white dichotomies?
1
@KNDoperative Literal numbers aren't what's most important but the fact that you pulled some random number out of your ass makes me take you less seriously. Then again, you're just a whiny-assed, snot-nosed 17yo kid who'd rather be gaming than learning the skills to do the jobs that are being exported from this country to India & China. I'm the present. I'm ashamed to call you my future.
1
@CannibalShinobi That's not my point and every generation is NOT worse. Furthermore, I didn't say all the students are lousy. What I'm saying is that you can't give any credit to someone on the internet who only has 1 take on things.
1
@SRTendulkar999 So the opinions of 1 student (your friend) & 1 student removed (you) means she sucked as a teacher? You went to that school & you're honestly telling me that everyone was a model student? That's not very realistic at all.
1
@KNDoperative Making up a lie to purport a rumor is the lowest form of intellectual dishonesty. You've built a house of cards. Instead of rebuilding your premise on truth, you just keep piling on more lies. That's pathetic. If you make up figures about your OWN school, I doubt you understand integral/derivative relationships. If you use fallacies to get to a conclusion I doubt you'd understand the process of solving a physics problem. If you don't capitalize you're not at college level writing.
1
@CannibalShinobi How'd he make that connection? He went to Glenn Beck's university.
1
@CannibalShinobi How so? What if 1 student didn't like her but 99 did? Do you understand the problem with that kind of reasoning? Furthermore, you act like every student is some kind of genius or like she's completely incompetent by virtue of the opinion of 1 person. Take it from a teacher, sometimes it IS the students' lack of preparation & motivation. Take it from a coach, sometimes it IS the players' lack of spirit.
1
@CannibalShinobi Dude, you're beating a dead horse. Get a life man.
1
@CannibalShinobi You never had my respect as a thinker because you don't know the difference between "loose" & "lose". Again, 1 opinion doesn't make anything true. A person's opinion is just that. Opinion of a student? Nah. As a smart man, I'll accept some concrete metrics of a teacher's success; not ONE SECONDHAND REPORT OF ONE STUDENT'S COMPLAINT. Not winning a popularity contest is not what makes or breaks a teacher you peckerhead. We're done here.
