"China demanded we use their ball bearings" - What nerve. Dealing with them is ridiculous!

Reverse engineering is one thing. But if Chinese don't understand build quality and why certain materials are used over others you're ultimately left with a sub standard product. Just look at their inferior Jet fighters which they directly copied from the Russians. Yes, they built it but it can't stay in the air for too long and it can't carry missles for extended periods because it consumes more fuel to do so. It would have made more sense for them to just buy the damn thing instead of wasting their time creating it.

@orlock20 I used to deliver car parts for a living. And the Chinese love to be seen in luxury cars but don't so much as have a clue to maintain them. A lot of them don't understand basic maintenance because it's too "costly" - these are the kinds of people we are dealing with here.

@aquarius5719 Yes, so severely de-regulated that there are no standards at all. Hence, all of their shoddy construction and products that they produce. Even their food is toxic.

@danielch6662 I doubt he's lying. There are so many anecdotal stories of Chinese not making good with what they say. Also, it's culturally acceptable to lie. There's a Chinese saying "If you can cheat, then cheat". So, you're not making a very good case right now.

@aquarius5719 So by your simple argument, you're saying that India can't learn to be more hard working and industrious? Stop with your Pro-China, anti-Western, anti-India, anti-everything rhetoric. It's getting so old and people all over the world can see through it. That's why you have to work so hard to lie to everyone. Because a lot of them have left China and continue to leave China.

@shinodamasaru7945 Despite having the "best engineers" they still resort to IP theft and espionage. They obviously aren't that great.

@aquarius5719 There IS a bubble and prices reflect that simple fact. If a house is now selling for 1,000,000 RMB when it was initially 3,000,000 RMB, guess what? That house was never worth 3,000,000 RMB to begin with. It's because the government allowed unfettered access to credit which inevitably inflated everything because on paper everyone is "richer" than they think they are.
