When former Ukranien president Viktor Yanukovych a puppet of russia ! in 2014 refused to sign the EU / Ukraine association agreement, that set off the Maidan, and he was ousted by the people of Ukraine ! And suprise suprise he fleed to russia ! By then russia knew Ukraine would be "lost " to the west and the search for real democracy ! The very next day putin set in motion the annexation of cremian and started the uprising in Donbas ! Rusia could not handle loosing yet another country to he west like russia had so many times before, especially not a big country like Ukraine. That why he annexed Cremia and started the uprising in Donbas !!! Any other narrative would be a lie !! Having a hard time figuring out who the bad guys are ? Here is a tip for you. Whatever country who only has state controlled media, they are the bad guys, simple as that !!
