If you listen to most Republicans speak, it tends to be status quo for them. They are known for "double-speak" and for not answering pertinent complex questions. If you recall during President George W Bush's presidency there where bumper stickers going around stating "Fear Simple Answesr",primarily because during the Gore/ Bush presidential debates, Bush couldn't defend his answers to questions from the moderator with a definitiveness. He didn't have a clue about any national statistics on any topic, where as Gore did. You can probably YouTube these debates and see for yourself. This was also true in the Obama and McCain presidential debates, where McCain had absolutely no statistical facts, and he resorted to simple answers, simple pet names for himself- like, "Maverick", and degrading Obama by pointing to and calling Obama, "That one.". Again, you can most likely find this on YouTube.
And, as we have recently experienced the same simpleton answers and statements from former President Trump. We all remember, "It's going to be big", or "It's going to be great", or "Everyone agrees", or "Everyone says", or "They say". Who is "everyone"? Who are "they"? Trump NEVER EVER divulged statistical information or facts. He often lied to the American public and his supporters. In fact, CNN has taken a tally, a count of how many times Trump has lied in public during his presidency. I believe that count to be close to 50,000 times - don't quote me on that. You can look it up for yourself.

That's not entirely true. According to the Article I of the Constitution, Congress controls the power of the purse. Unfortunately, for us Americans, the House is controlled by Republicans who are currently holding the U.S. hostage, and are subsequently using this "non-negotiable stall tactic" as a means to make president Biden look weak in the eyes of most Americans. Why is this? Because most Americans have absolutely no idea/concept of how our government is supposed to work/function according to the Constitution. If you ask most conservatives whose fault it is that our government can't agree upon a budget, they will tell you that it's Biden's fault because he's not wanting to cave-in and agree with Congress. When in actuality, it is Congress, specifically the House, that is not willing to negotiate.
Listen to what Ryan, the commentator on here says, "Kevin McCarthy holds the keys to these negotiations."
"Representative Steve Cohen from Tennessee, also stated that, "They (the Republican House) treated Trump differently than Biden because they want Biden to fail."
